The ambiguity of typographic messages constantly creates a dialogue between the viewer and the work. “A word is an image” and an image can be interpreted in so many ways, the direct approach to typography has been a path of exploration where the main objective is to question our daily lives and produce a positive impact. After all, it’s a living.
BiographY
IT’S A LIVING isn’t just a statement, it’s also a philosophy of life for Ricardo Gonzalez, a designer and artist originally from Durango, Mexico, who now lives in Brooklyn. His unique scriptural style is easily recognisable, whether on large-scale murals, commercial work for some of the biggest brands or a simple sticker on the street.
