Stream : Banks of la Seine

A monumental fresco covers the banks of la Seine in Paris

2018

At the end of May 2018, the pedestrian banks of la Seine were covered in several layers of colour. As a result of collaboration between Galerie Itinerrance and the Paris City Council, a succession of ephemeral frescoes appeared on the ground, spanning over two kilometres long: STREAM.

For this ambitious, Paris-wide project, Galerie Itinerrance brought together 4 talented street artists: 1010, Momies, Nebay and Seth.
1010 initiated the first segment at the end of May with his trompe-l’oeil abysses and colorful waves of green and blue. In early June, he was joined by Momies in front of the Musée d’Orsay, with his abstractions in the colours of the French flag.
Then Nebay displayed his calligraphy under the Alexandre III Bridge. Finally, Seth presented us with an anamorphosis visible from the Concorde Bridge. Each ofthese artists took up a segment of this long 2km line that follows the current of the Seine, from the Orsay Museum to the Quai Branly Museum.
