La Tour Paris 13

Une exposition collective unique et éphémère

2013

The ephemeral nature of Tour Paris 13 has left an indelible mark in the history of the Galerie Itinerrance.

Carried out with the support of the 13th arrondissement Town Halll and the agreement of the building’s landlord, ICF Habitat La Sablière, the project involved more than a hundred Street artists from 18 different nationalities who took over the entire building before it was demolished. Volunteering from all corners of the world and operating with the utmost discretion, the artists took total liberty in appropriating the site. Accessible from 1st to 31st of October 2013, the public was able to discover the original works spread across the 9 occupied floors of this improvised museum.

This extraordinary project occupied over 4,500 m2 of ground space and an equally large area of walls and ceilings. The space comprises a total of 9 floors and basements, with 36 flats of 4 to 5 rooms, some still furnished.
